Are you ready for more fulfillment in the new year?

Look, the past 24 months have been nothing less than discouraging and challenging when it comes to nurturing and empowering ourselves:  Spiritually, Emotionally, Physically.

Primarily because of the negativity we see and hear on social media, news, radio, and the internet as a whole. 

Here's the good news, we can empower ourselves with "mind over matter" positively controlling and influencing our personal and business goals.

Empower "mind over matter" by implementing these 5 tips: 

  1. Use positive language when talking with other people about what is happening in your life to bring abundance instead of fear.
  2. Ongoing self-education with books, online courses, events, podcasts, and coaching, and then creating a habit of applying what you have learned in your daily life.
  3. Encompass the daily habits of people who are the equivalent of your desired mindset and success.
  4. Have kind self-empowerment conversations kind self-talk directly reflects your mindset.
  5. Challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone to employ and empower a higher mindset.

Indeed, empowering "mind over matter" means training one's mind to operate with purpose in a positive conscientious manner!

Why don't we take better care of ourselves so we can maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle?

Pretty much everything we use daily needs maintenance to keep it running smoothly and efficiently for peak performance!

Things like vehicles, smartphones, computers, exercise equipment, and household appliances need maintenance.  

If we make sure all these things above are maintained, why don't we take better care of ourselves so we can maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle? This is a proactive approach to preventing yourself from getting overwhelmed. When you're overwhelmed, it's easy to feel negative, stressed, depressed, low energy, amongst other things. 

Most importantly, our mind, body, and energy malfunction when we are overwhelmed and unbalanced.

I've got ten strategies that have the potential to turn you into the most balanced, productive person you know:

  1. Keep away from toxic people who can erode your quality of life.
  2. Put electronics away from your bed at night as they interfere with sleep quality. Enjoy a sleep tea to encourage relaxation. 
  3. Express daily gratitude and appreciation for what you have in the now.
  4. Stay organized to avoid procrastination - this gives you spare time and helps you not to waste it.
  5. Genuinely take ME time to do the things that help you recharge and regain focus on what matters.
  6. Remember it's OK to say the word "NO" so you don't find yourself in a state of overwhelm.
  7. Set goals that are realistic to stay on track and not get discouraged.
  8. Make sure you are consistently learning so you can keep on the right track mentally and physically.
  9. Yearly doctor visits, daily exercise, and taking the necessary supplements to support weight, sleep, and immunity will change your overall health for a better you.
  10. Keep a journal to brain dump and prioritize your main objectives in life and business. 

 Creating habits for a balanced lifestyle recharges our minds, bodies and maintains healthy work performance for success in life and business.

How I started to Live Differently

 
I was at a crossroad in my life when I learned to Live Differently.

It was several years ago that I was an investment advisor for a large regional bank.  I loved my position, my clients, the work. I was sure I was going to retire from this position.  Then one day the bank changed it's business model, didn't need as many investment advisors and my position was cut.  I was let go!

I did not have a plan B and felt like I was stuck in the muck.  What was I going to do now?  I knew that I didn't want to stay in the financial industry.  I didn't want to have my friends, income and career taken from me again.  I wanted to Live Differently.

For many years I was interested in natural products and how nature can help to support my bodily systems.  I completed a master herbalist certificate. I completed several master Reiki certificates and I knew that this was a direction I wanted to go in.

That's when I discover the essential oils of Young Living and their Seed to Seal promise.  Knowing about herbs and natural products I was thrilled to finally find a company that got it!  The products are only as good as the way the plants are grown, treated and processed to get the best results.  That is what Young Living does.  I also was very impressed with the way they combine essential oils into a wide variety of products for home, personal care, immune system, and event pets!  I had never discovered a company that does all of this and give you the opportunity to create an income simply by sharing the products.  I was hooked!

But that just started my journey to Live Differently.  I knew I wanted to get my Reiki practice started and there were so many internal stories I was telling myself about why this was not going to work!  I felt defeated until my good friend handed me the Aroma Freedom Technique book and asked me to join the certification class.  This technique blew me out of the water!  It helped me to turn around my internal narrative and self doubt I had to changing the way I saw myself and the world around me.  It showed me a way to use the essential oils I loved to improve my overall mental state.

So I was on my way.  Still I felt like I didn't have enough traction to really make a difference and that is when I found Oola.
Finding balance in an unbalanced world is exactly how I felt and that is what the Oola book talked about.  It showed me a simple framework to change the lifestyle I had to the life I really wanted to live.  It also is a whole community of like minded people that want to continually improve themselves and the world they live in. Now I had all the pieces that I needed to Live Differently.   

The best part is I get to share this with everyone who wants to Live Differently.
